Le centre sera l’un des arrêts du Circuit piétonnier A du Parcours Mile End, destiné à faire connaître toute l’effervescence culturelle du quartier. Une occasion unique de découvrir le seul centre d’artistes au Canada dédié à la fibre en art actuel. Pour l’occasion, notre programmation présente deux réalisations artistiques qui mettent l’accent sur la dimension du processus. Ainsi, 557 de Jason W. Fowler Fitzpatrick, est le fruit de sept jours d’intervention continue de l’artiste dans l’espace de la galerie. Si l’exposition est désormais statique, la documentation photo et vidéo qui l’accompagne témoigne de cette évolution. L’intervention poétique Le Fil Cassé, est également l’aboutissement d’un processus, ludique cette-fois, pour lequel des mots, tels des petites boules de poils fibreuses, ont été choisis avec attention par les artistes Diane Dubeau, Nicole Panneton, Lyne Girard, Jolanta Sprawka, Héloïse Audy, Catherine de Robert, Lise Létourneau, Danièle Bergeron et Marie-France Cournoyer. Ces mots sont passés d’une main à l’autre. We sailed from Montreal to Thunder Bay and back along the Saint Lawrence Seaway and the majestic inland sea of the Great Lakes. Theatre de la Ville, 150 Gentilly ouest, Longueuil Acclamé à travers le monde le spectacle NORMAN, la dernière création de Michel Lemieux et de Victor Pilon, part pour la première fois en tournée au Québec, en Ontario ainsi qu’au Nouveau-Brunswick. Le spectacle a joué deux années de suite à guichets fermés à la Cinquième salle de la Place des arts de Montréal. Il a aussi été présenté à travers le monde : en France, en l’Angleterre, l’Autriche, les États-Unis, la Chine, la Corée, le Mexique et la Colombie. Plus de 75 représentations ont été données à travers le monde à ce jour. Le spectacle a connu un succès critique et populaire partout où il a été présenté. NORMAN a remporté plusieurs honneurs incluant une nomination pour le Grand Prix du Conseil des arts de Montréal (mars 2008), l’inclusion dans le Top 10 des spectacles de l’année 2007 de Nathalie Petrowski, et le prix Angel Awards pour son excellence artistique (Festival de Brighton, R.U.). À cause de leur complexité technique, les productions de LEMIEUX PILON 4D ART ont rarement la chance de faire des tournées locales au Québec. Cette année, grâce à l’appui de trois partenaires importants, le public des régions aura l’occasion unique de voir NORMAN, ce spectacle multidisciplinaire. Les productions de LEMIEUX PILON 4D ART sont heureux de pouvoir compter sur le support d’un partenaire média, ARTV, seule chaîne de télévision canadienne francophone entièrement consacrée aux arts et dédiée à la culture. A unique, passionate and deeply personal work recorded with producer Vic Keary and featuring musical contributions from a young David Toop Pass The Distance came across like possessed and moody blend of Syd Barrett and Roy Harper. The album sank with barely a trace, Finn seemed to disappear too and an enigma was born through word of mouth, bootlegs of the album and the huge sums needed to purchase an original copy. His public rebirth occurred at the turn of the century when Finn fanatic David Tibet tracked him down in Montreal and subsequently reissued Pass The Distance on his Durtro label to great acclaim. A long overdue follow-up Magic Moments appeared in 2005 (also on Durtro) found Finn mellowed by the years but still conjuring deeply dark and moving songs. In 2007 came the stunning Accidental Life finding Finn reunited with Keary and! Toop alongside main musical foil Joolie Wood (Current 93) and with contributions from the likes of Karl Blake, Danielle Dax and Rose Macdowall. Last year saw the release of Rats Laugh Mice Sing. Finn returns once again to Montreal, his adopted hometown for nearly twenty-five years. Gavin John Sheehan has been composing and performing music since 1990. Early experiences produced albums and performances as drummer, guitarist, and co-composer in a number of local bands from his home town. From 1998 to 2001, he composed, recorded and released Reno Air, a 74-minute minimalist drone piece. He attended Vancouver Community College for Musical Composition and Concordia University for Electro-acoustic studies. Between 2003 and 2010, he composed, performed and improvised in several ensembles in Montreal including The Identity Protest Unit for his piece October the Two (2004), Rivers and Mountains as co composer and guitarist (2004 through present), Pas Chic Chic for live performances (2007-2008), Shell of the Curved Centennial as composer and performer (2008), and regularly with Montreal based composer Sam Shalabi in both his Land of Kush and Egyptian Light Orchestra ensembles (2007 to present). 20h30 doors 10$/12$ 514- |

Skol, 314-372 Ste Catherine ouest Avec Migration numérique, Jean-Ambroise Vesac propose à des participants bénévoles l’expérience d’être numérisé dans une démarche collaborative de production de portraits au moyen d’un dispositif de modélisation numérique 3D. dans le cadre de l'exposition Une étendue apparemment infinie et tentaculaire. Vivre cette migration numérique devient une initiation, une expérience peu commune de subsistance dans l'univers numérique. Migration numérique, c'est plus que de la photo : c’est l'expérience d'un devenir virtuel... Jean-Ambroise Vesac est un artiste exonumérique et hyperactuel. Son travail questionne principalement l'interaction personne-machine et l'immersion. Il axe sa recherche sur la notion d'expérience du modèle et particulièrement de l'expérience de la relation à l'autre à travers une représentation augmentée de la réalité dans un contexte d'immersion videographique et photographique.
